Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee is a sport that is quickly gaining interest all throughout the country. It mixes the best features of sports such as Soccer, Basketball, American Football and Netball into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game that promotes fair play while encouraging teamwork and friendly competition. Ultimate Frisbee is a limited-contact team field sport played with a disc (frisbee). Points are scored by passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone.

The goal of this new WMAA intramural program is to provide an opportunity for parents and kids to do something together and to teach every player the fundamentals of the sport, which include passing, throwing, and defense.

The cost of the summer intramural program is $25 for six sessions, in addition to a $30 family membership fee for those families that have not already paid it for this membership year. Both adults and kids are invited to register!  Once a week, players will come to Doub’s Park in Myersville to play. Pinnies will be provided, and cleats are recommended but not necessary.

Everyone is welcome, and teams will be formed each week freestyle based on those that are present. We encourage you to join us, so please register to allow us enough time to plan for the season.  Please note that only those players that have registered online and signed all necessary paperwork will be able to participate in the pick-up games each week.
